'Satisfy us early with your mercy'

Posted

Return, O LORD, how long? And repent concerning your servants. O satisfy us early with your mercy so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days in which you have afflicted us and the years in which we have seen evil. Psalm 90:13-15

With Moses, we ask the LORD God to return to us and satisfy us early with His mercy in Christ Jesus so that we might rejoice and be glad because of His mercy and forgiveness all the days of our lives. We ask that He make us glad for as many days as He has afflicted us because of our sin and as many years as we have seen evil under God’s curse upon sin.

O Lord, have mercy on us and forgive our sins for the sake of Christ Jesus and His blood shed for us on the cross. Grant to us joy in Your mercy all the days of our lives and give us gladness in the place of sorrow and sadness. Amen.

[Scripture is quoted from the Revised Common Version of the Bible.]
