My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: for length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Proverbs 3:1-2
We often think of God’s commandments as restrictive and keeping us from the joys of life, but they are truly for our good and keep us from hurt and ruin. Heeding the commandments of the Lord brings “length of days,” “long life” and “peace.”
Grant me wisdom, O LORD, that I might obey Thy commandments and live my life for Thee. I ask this in the name of Christ Jesus, my only hope and Redeemer. Amen.
