Walking in the light or in the darkness?

Posted

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:6-7

To walk in the light is to walk in the truth and allow the light of God’s Word to shine into our hearts and upon our lives, revealing our sins and failures under God’s law but also revealing to us the redemption God provided for us through the blood of His Son which was shed upon the cross for our sins and the sins of the world.

O God, grant that I not hide from the light but allow the light to expose my sin and point me to Christ Jesus, who shed His blood on the cross to atone for my sins and restore me to fellowship with You. Amen.

[Scripture is quoted from King James Version of the Bible.]
