'We praise Thee, O God, our Redeemer, Creator'

It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to your name, O Most High, to show forth your loving-kindness in the morning and your faithfulness every night, upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the psaltery, upon the harp with a solemn sound. For you, LORD, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands. O LORD, how great your works are! And your thoughts are very deep. Psalm 92:1-5

God’s creative works testify of His great wisdom and understanding, as well as His almighty power. They are reason to acknowledge the true God and to offer up to Him our worship and praise! And the fact that He has redeemed us from sin and death through the innocent sufferings and death of His only-begotten Son in our stead is certainly reason to thank and praise His name!

“We praise Thee, O God, our Redeemer, Creator, in grateful devotion our tribute we bring; we lay it before Thee, we kneel and adore Thee; we bless Thy holy name, glad praises we sing.” ( Julia B. Cory, 1902)

[Scripture is quoted from the Revised Common Version of the Bible.]
