'When I kept silence, my bones became old'

Posted

When I kept silence, my bones became old through my roaring all the day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me. My moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Psalm 32:3-4

When we are self-deceived and do not acknowledge and confess our utter sinfulness, the inner guilt and shame of our sins weigh us down and we feel the heavy hand of God’s judgment upon us.

O almighty God, grant that we do not deny or seek to cover up our sins but acknowledge them and look to You for mercy in Christ Jesus, our Savior. Amen.

[Scripture is quoted from the Revised Common Version of the Bible.]
