Christ Jesus made atonement for the sins of all when He suffered and died on the cross and, for that reason, God offers His lovingkindness, His mercy, His forgiveness, to all who look to Him in faith and take shelter in His grace for Jesus’ sake.
I am deserving of Your wrath and punishment, O God, but I look to You for mercy and take refuge in Your lovingkindness for the sake of Christ Jesus and His sacrifice for me on the cross. Amen.
