“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8-9
Preaching a false gospel is a serious offense, and it brings the wrath of God. Thus, when men add works of the law to the gospel or teach that a sinner is justified apart from faith alone in Jesus Christ and His universal atonement for sin, they mislead souls to eternal ruin and place themselves under God’s curse.
Grant that I hold fast to You, O LORD, and to the gospel of forgiveness and life through faith alone in Jesus Christ and His cross. Amen.
