One day, we will see the richness of God's grace

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-7

Because our own sinfulness has blinded our eyes, we fail to see the richness of God’s mercy toward us in Christ Jesus. But, in the coming ages, we will see “the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” We will see the great love God had for us when He sent His only-begotten Son to die for us and atone for our sins and when He raised us up from spiritual death and darkness to see our utter sinfulness and to trust in the redemption accomplished for us by Jesus Christ.

We thank You and praise You, O God, for the sacrifice of Your Son to redeem us from sin and death and to give us forgiveness and life through faith in His name. Amen.
