'Made nigh by the blood of Christ'

Posted

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:11-13

Not being a part of God’s people and not being partakers of the covenant promises, we were without Christ and without hope in this world; but Christ Jesus atoned for our sins too — He died for the sins of all — and, through faith in Christ, we have been made a part of God’s covenant people and partakers of the covenant promises of forgiveness and life everlasting.

Thank You, dear Savior, for redeeming me from sin and death and making me a part of Your people through faith in Your name. Amen.

[Scripture is quoted from the King James Version of the Bible.]
