“Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh — who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands — that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2:11-13
Not being a part of God’s people and partakers of the covenant promises, we were without Christ and without hope in this world. But Christ Jesus atoned for the sins of all when He shed His blood on the cross and, through faith in Christ, we have been made a part of God’s covenant people and partakers of the covenant promises of forgiveness for all our sins and life everlasting in communion and fellowship with God.
Thank You, dear Savior, for redeeming me from sin and death and making me a part of Your people through faith in Your name. Amen.
