Unto Thee, I lift up my soul

Posted

“Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” Psalm 86:4-5

When we lift up our souls unto the Lord, we can rejoice because He is “good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon” Him. When we humble ourselves, acknowledge our sins and failures, and look to Him in faith for mercy, we can come away with joy, for God our Maker stands ready to forgive our sins and show mercy to us for the sake of Jesus Christ and His innocent sufferings and death on the cross for the sins of all.

Unto Thee, O Lord, I lift up my soul for pardon, forgiveness, and mercy, for the sake of Jesus and His blood shed on the cross for the sins of the world. Amen.

[Scripture is quoted from the King James Version of the Bible.]
