“And fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the instruction and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4
God has entrusted fathers with the great responsibility of raising their children “in the instruction and admonition of the Lord.” Fathers are not to be overbearing and provoke their children to become angry and reject the truth but to teach and guide their children by their own example and life to know the Lord and to trust in His mercy.
Grant me wisdom, O Lord, to faithfully teach my children Your Word and Your ways so they may grow up knowing You and trusting You for mercy, forgiveness, and everlasting life for the sake of Jesus Christ and His cross. In His name, I pray. Amen.
