'Who is a God like unto thee?'

Posted

“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.” Micah 7:18-20

What a God we have! He pardons our iniquities and sins. Instead of holding them against us forever, He delights to show us His mercy. As He promised Abraham and Jacob, He sent His own dear Son to atone for our sins by His innocent sufferings and death on the cross so that He might have compassion on us and cast our sins into the depths of the sea, never again to be remembered and held against us.

Thank You, O gracious and merciful God, for subduing our iniquities in the shed blood of Jesus and casting them into the depths of the sea that You might pardon and forgive us and accept us as Your own dear children through faith in Christ Jesus. In His name, I pray. Amen.

[Scripture is quoted from the King James Version of the Bible.]
