Born of the flesh or of the Spirit?

Posted

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’“ John 3:6-7

It is not enough to be born of the flesh — the result of the union of a man and woman. To be a part of God’s kingdom, one must be born again of God — of the gracious working of God’s Spirit through Baptism and the preaching of God’s saving Word.

Thank You, O Holy Spirit, for raising me up from spiritual death to life through the washing of water by the Word. Amen.
